Themes

For reference, proceedings for all prior versions of the International Conferences on Structures in Fire may be found at www.structuresinfire.com. The focus of the conference is on the research and developments in behaviour of structural fire engineering. The research themes of SiF2026 include the follows:

  • Applications of structural fire engineering
  • Concrete structures in fire
  • Masonry structures in fire
  • Steel structures in fire
  • Composites structures or fibre reinforced polymers (FRPs) in fire
  • Timber structures in fire
  • Numerical modelling of structures in fire
  • Experimental research of structures in fire
  • Impacts of wildfires on structures (papers not addressing the specific impact on structures would be out of scope for this conference)
  • Performance based design of structures in fire
  • Other topics related to structures in fire

Abstract Format

Abstract submissions are now closed

A two-page extended abstract is required. Use of a 12-point font size is preferred, and the inclusion of plots and/or photos within the two pages is encouraged. Single spacing is mandatory, and margins must be set to 20 mm on all sides. There is no required template. Please note that the two-page limit is strict.

The online submission form also includes a field for a brief plain-text abstract, which should serve as a concise summary of the two-page extended abstract.

Paper Format

Papers should be limited to 12 pages.

Papers of good quality submitted to SiF2026 will be invited to submit extended manuscripts to special issues in the following two journals (confirmed):
